Actionbound: Wald erleben

Ochtendung

The starting point is a little above the forest classroom: You drive on the street "Auf'm Zisselborn" to the end, then left on the "Mohlenweg" to the end and follow the sign "Ohligs Mühle". After approx. 70 m on an unpaved path there is a turning point (unpaved) where you can park. To the left of the mill you pass the barrier and after about 50 m you see the first sign with a QR code on the left of the tree. This starts the exploration tour through the forest - also doable on sunny days. With the help of QR codes, there is information, puzzles and tasks on the topics of forest, forest animals and nature conservation. Children from the third school year also learn media skills when using the app. But there is also a lot to discover for smaller children!

Eltz Castle - the fairytale castle in the Eifel forest

High towers, picturesque oriels, protective walls and a deep castle moat amaze visitors when the well-preserved medieval castle appears out of nowhere on one of the hiking trails - e.g. the award-winning dream trail "Eltzer Burgpanorama". The interior holds some well-preserved treasures: the imposing knights' hall, the armoury and treasure chamber or the bedrooms, living rooms and writing rooms. All this can be experienced on a guided tour between April and November.
