If you hike the “Pyrmonter Felsensteig”, you will reach the highest point of the hike on the Sammetzkopf. The summit cross is visible from afar and is also illuminated in the dark. There is also a wide view from the Sammetzkopf, over to Münstermaifeld with its imposing collegiate church and to the volcanoes of the Eastern Eifel. The wide view over the plateau is a strong but equally beautiful contrast to the path section of the path in the Elztal.

Eltz Castle - the fairytale castle in the Eifel forest

High towers, picturesque oriels, protective walls and a deep castle moat amaze visitors when the well-preserved medieval castle appears out of nowhere on one of the hiking trails - e.g. the award-winning dream trail "Eltzer Burgpanorama". Historisches Münstermaifeld

The small town of Münstermaifeld with its imposing collegiate church towers high above the gently undulating hills of the Maifeld. A stroll through the narrow streets with their impressive courtyards and town houses leads back to an eventful history. A new signposted is a historic city tour that starts at the tourist information on Münsterplatz. There you also get a folding plan for the city tour. City tours take place every Sunday and public holiday at 2 p.m., from April to November 1. The meeting point is the tourist information.
